I received my bachelor's degree in communications from UNI in 2007 and am currently working towards my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at Grand View University. I spent many years as a stay-at-home mom before I felt God call me into the counseling field. True to who I am, I resisted that call for a few weeks before I finally accepted that His plans are always better than my own.
I look forward to hearing your story and helping you process the painful and difficult moments you've experienced. While it can be scary and intimidating to share such vulnerable information, my goal is that you will feel safe, accepted, understood, and valued. My approach to therapy is person-centered, while also drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems.
My favorite people on the planet include my husband of 15 years and our four kids. We enjoy exploring new places, going for walks, playing games, and eating tacos. I also enjoy coffee dates with friends, meaningful conversations, bible study, gardening, reading, and laughing at Nate Bargatze.
