Joe Budish

Clinical Mental Health Intern | joe@cityreachtherapy.com

I am a Clinical Mental Health Intern pursuing my master’s degree in counseling at Liberty University. I am grateful to be on the team at CityReach and would love to come alongside you on your life journey. I am passionate about working with boys and young men, but I love to see clients from all walks of life.

My goal as a counselor is to help people experience transformation. Although life change is a complex process for all of us, I believe keys to transformation include healing from past hurts, learning better thought processes, and practicing new habits.

My preferred counseling approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, and person-centered therapy. I value asking good questions, listening closely, and helping you articulate your thoughts and feelings.

My Christian faith is important to me, and I have worked in local church youth ministry for 20 years. I welcome the opportunity to help people integrate their Christian faith into the counseling process. I am also happy to work with people regardless of their spiritual beliefs. I believe we are all searching for the things that matter.

My wife and I have four children together. Our youngest is a preschooler and the oldest is a young adult. In my free time I like to read, run, hike, play pickleball, play card games, and watch sports highlights.

Clinical Intern Rate: $25 per Session
