Dena Butler

Clinical Mental Health Intern | dena@cityreachtherapy.com

I am currently completing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Colorado Christian University and working toward licensure under clinical supervision. My approach is systemic and collaborative, focused on understanding the broader context of a client’s life and helping them grow in clarity, connection, and emotional strength.

I have a particular interest in life transitions, relationship decisions, blended family dynamics, and grief. I work with couples, families, and women navigating seasons of change or relational strain. I value the process of identifying patterns, recognizing strengths, and helping clients pursue healthier ways of relating. For clients who desire it, I welcome the integration of Christian faith into the therapeutic process.

Before pursuing therapy, I worked as an educator, which shaped my love for learning and my commitment to meeting people where they are developmentally and relationally. Outside the therapy room, I am active in my church community and cherish time with family, especially my role as Mimi to several young granddaughters. I also enjoy running, biking, and strength training as part of my everyday life.

My faith is integral to my own journey, and it informs the compassionate, steady presence I strive to offer clients as they pursue healing and growth.
